Awards
GUIDELINES FOR THE AWARD
The award shall be given biennially to a young Indian scientist in recognition of outstanding contributions to the growth of Atomic and Molecular Physics in India by way of theoretical/experimental research in the field.
The award shall be made to a person resident or domiciled in India and of age less than 37 years on 1 January of the year for which the award is made.
The award will carry a citation and a cash grant of Rs. 20,000 (could be revised).
It may be given individually or jointly.
NOMINATION AND SELECTION PROCEDURE
Candidates will be judged on the basis of published work, contribution towards instrument development or new applications of techniques, carried out in India in the field of Atomic and Molecular Physics. The candidate shall have affiliation to an institution in India.
Nominations for the award in the prescribed format can be made by a Life Member of ISAMP who has personal knowledge of the work of the nominee and shall be supported by at least one more member of ISAMP.
Nominations shall be accompanied by a detailed write up of not exceeding 1000 words on the candidate's contributions. The write up should clearly bring out the independent contribution by the nominee to the field, beyond his/her Ph.D.
The nominations will be examined by the Award Committee, which includes the ISAMP President, Secretary and three other members appointed by ISAMP Executive Committee to select top three candidates. These three candidates will be asked to make presentation at the forthcoming National Conference of the Society.

The nomination should be made by alife member of the Society.
The nomination should be forwarded through the Thesis Supervisor or the Head of Department.
The nominee must have already submitted the thesis to University in India. The work presented in the thesis should be either theoretical or experimental Atomic, Molecular and Optical Physics.
Candidates must enclose a brief CV along with the nomination.
The nominations will be examined by the Award Committee, which includes the ISAMP President, Secretary and three other members appointed by ISAMP Executive Committee.
Short-listed candidates will be asked to make a presentation at the forthcoming National Conference of the Society.
